چکیده

The subphase adsorption behavior and the morphology of trypsin enzyme, lysozyme cytochrome C protein, glucose oxidase present on Langmuir monolayer organo-modified single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) were investigated. Furthermore, we estimated maintenance characteristics three-dimensional structure SWCNT film-adsorbed biomolecules when exposed to a high-temperature environment. In this study, each biomolecule, which was an amphoteric electrolyte, hydrophilized by mixed acid treatment electrostatically adsorbed charged surfaces at air–water interface. An amide band derived from adsorbent confirmed infrared (IR) spectra biomolecule adsorbing organo-SWCNT multilayers. atomic force microscopic image X-type organo-SWCNTs shows shape. out-of-plane X-ray diffraction profiles multilayers layered due presence adsorbent. After heat treatment, secondary biomolecular maintained up 100–150 °C, as IR spectrum.

Modeling of the adsorption kinetics of Basic Red 46 on single-walled carbon nanotube and carboxylate group functionalized single-walled carbon nanotube

The present study was carried out to investigate the potential of single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNTs) and carboxylate group functionalized single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT-COOH) as alternative adsorbents for the removal of Basic Red 46 (BR 46) from contaminated water by using batch adsorption studies. Effects of some key operating parameters such as pH, ionic strength and contact time on...

DFT Study of N-hydroxyurea Adsorption Behavior onto Pristine and Iron-doped Single-walled Carbon Nanotube

The interactions between N-hydroxyurea (NHU) as anticancer drug and SWCNTs (pure and Fe-doped) were investigated with density functional theory. In this study, large long-range corrected CAM-B3LYP and B3LYP were employed to investigate the stability of the different NHU-CNT and NHU/Fe-CNT complexes in the gas phase and solution (water). The presence of an iron atom would create suitable space o...

Single-Walled Carbon Nanotube Electronics

Single walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) have emerged as a very promising new class of electronic materials. The fabrication and electronic properties of devices based on individual SWNTs are reviewed. Both metallic and semiconducting SWNTs are found to possess electrical characteristics that compare favorably to the best electronic materials available. Manufacturability issues, however, remain a...

Effect of multi-walled carbon nanotube on mechanical and rheological properties of silane modified EPDM rubber

A novel mixing approach for achieving a good dispersion of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) in ethylene- propylene diene monomer (EPDM) matrix has been investigated. In this approach EPDM was modified with vinyltrimethoxysilane (VTMS) during melt mixing. In addition the effect of MWCNT concentration on mechanical and rheological properties of modified EPDM has been studied. The formulated...
